De Jong and the former United Memphis ace, who has been linked with the Blues and Arsenal, could be sold as Barca’s Champions League exit has added to the Catalans’ financial woes.

According to Sport, five key players could be released by the Blaugrana.

The midfielder was United manager Erik ten Hag’s summer transfer priority and the Red Devils even pushed through a £71.5million offer.

Chelsea also joined the race – but the Dutch international was never convinced to move.

And Dynamo Moscow ace Arsen Zakharyan has confirmed he wants to join Chelsea and is determined to clinch a first-team spot.

The Blues were thought to be closing in on 19-year-old Zakharyan in the last summer transfer window

However, a £12.6million move was BLOCKED by Britain’s Russia sanctions and the midfielder remained at Dynamo.

The Russian international has registered a total of three goals and five assists in 17 appearances in all competitions this season.
